E.ON IBU 2011 World Cup Biathlon #7 @ Nordic Heritage Ski Center, Presque Isle, Maine. The Sprint is a biathlon race with a very high pace. Men and women compete over a distance of 7.5 to 10-kilometers, skiing three loops and stopping to shoot twice, prone and standing. For each missed target, the biathletes must ski an additional 150-meter loop after exiting the shooting range. Starts are at 30 second intervals, and the results are not know until the last biathlete crosses the finish.
